Vaccines for Puppies & Dogs

Vaccines are an effective way to protect your pet against harmful diseases.

Vaccinations are crucial to your dog's preventative care routine. They prevent your loyal companion from contracting deadly diseases. Core vaccines for dogs and puppies include Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Adenovirus, and Parainfluenza. Other non-core vaccinations may include Lyme, Leptospirosis and Bordetella (also known as Kennel Cough vaccination), depending on the lifestyle of your companion.

Is there a schedule for how often a dog should be vaccinated?

Our team recommends vaccinating your pet yearly. At some point in your adult dog's life, they may be available for a rotational schedule of vaccinations. Curious for more information? One of our veterinarians would love to discuss the options with you and build a vaccination schedule for your pet. Simply give us a call to book a consultation.

How should I prepare my puppy for their first vaccination visit?

Your first visit with your new puppy will generally have much information provided to you. We give out a puppy kit on your first visit that is packed with information on how to care for your new pet. You can bring along a toy or something that calms your puppy. We suggest that your pet not take part in any strenuous activities right before the visit. We highly recommend bringing a list of questions that you may have. We are also available by phone or email to answer any questions after your visit.

What is the cost of vaccinations per year?

A yearly vaccination plan can include various core and non-core vaccinations based on your pet's lifestyle; thus, pricing may differ for you. Kindly give us a call at 519-683-4508, and our staff will be more than happy to assist you.
